Acer has introduced a thin notebook called Travelmate B113 powered by Intel Pentium 877 1.4GHz processor. It is very similar to the ultrabooks out there, but it is not a ‘proper’ ultrabook. There is no SSD in it and this laptop is also bit heavier. However, it is much cheaper too, with prices starting at less than 450 Euros for the base model.
Acer will also be offering an Core i3 2377m processor version that will cost somewhere between 500 and 560 Euros. We see it as an amazing alternative to the just launched Lenovo X131e, which is thicker than ultrabooks.
Specs look like this – 11.6 inch display, 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, 4GB RAM, 500GB hard disk, Windows 7 OS, USB 3.0 ports, multi touch trackpad, 802.11n Wi-Fi and 1.88 kilo gram weight. Check out Intel Celeron 877 review to find out more about the processor.
