Acer is selling a special version of its AOD 270 mini notebook with balloons design on its lid. This easy to use notebook retails for as-low-as 250 dollars on stores like Walmart. It features Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 320GB 5400rpm hard disk.
Like most netbooks, the AOD270 1606 has a 10 inch display that packs 1024 x 600 pixels. It runs Windows 7 starter operating system and comes with a 3 cell battery that should give you a runtime of around 4 –5 hours on a single charge.
If you want something bigger and something with built in HDMI, you must check out the Asus X54C BBK13 notebook.

Acer’s quad core notebook, AS5560-Sb613, is on sale for just 530 dollars. It features the recently released AMD A8 3500M processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard disk and a decent 15.6 inch display. Last month, Acer announced Aspire S3, a Core i5 powered ultrabook notebook. That same model is now available with an Intel Core i7 ULV processor. This Core i7 model will retail at $1300 – $400 more than the base Core i5 model.
The new S3 will carry the Core i7 2637m processor which delivers same performance as the Core i3 2330m, 2310m, but has just 17 watts TDP. The i3 2330m got 6600 in the PCMark Benchmark test.

Acer has rolled out a couple of new AMD powered notebooks in the market. These notebooks, being called the Aspire 5560 and 7560 sport the AMD A4, A6 or A8 APUs (accelerated processing unit), popularly known as Llano. The 5560 features a 15.6 inch display packing 15.6 inch display while the 7560, a 17.3 inch model packs 1600 x 900 pixel display.
