Asus U24E
Asus is finally offering a notebook which is size of a netbook with 11.6 inch display. Meet the Asus U24E, which is not powered by an Atom processor (like Asus X101 netbook). Instead you get a very powerful Core i5 2430m processor, that is one of the most powerful processors for entry and under $1000 notebooks.

The display packs 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and is accompanied by 4GB RAM and a spacious 750GB hard disk. Other specs include 2x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and a claimed battery life of 7 hours – all packed into a notebook that weighs under 1.5 kilo grams.
Now, that is what we call impressive and at 600 dollars, I think we have a winner in our hands. Now, why on earth would you want to buy Asus UX31 or UX21?
