A new version of the super slim Asus Eee PC X101 is all set to hit the market shelves in Q1 2012. This new version is called X101CH and is powered by the soon-to-be-released Atom N2600 processor. This new CPU, based on Cedar Trail platform is much more powerful than the Atom N345 and N455, which are being used on almost all netbooks.

Like AMD APUs (example: AMD E2 1800, E1 1200), it has built in graphics chipset. You get the new PowerVR SGX545 that has full support for hardware decoding for VC1, AVC, MPEG2 and H.264 full HD and Blu-ray content. Other specs include 320GB hard disk, 1GB RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 (optional) and 0.3 mega pixel webcam. Check out AMD E1 1200 review.
Screen size and resolution have not got undergone any change and you are still stuck in the 2009 era with its 10.1 inch display and WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600). We are expecting it to retail for under 300 dollars.
