MSI GT783, GT783R

MSI has rolled out a couple of gaming notebooks today – GT783 and GT783R. Both have same specs and looks, except for the fact that the GT783R has a dual HDD setup in RAID 0, while the GT783 has hybrid storage setup (SSD + HDD), which can seriously decrease OS and application start up times.

Both come equipped with a 17.3 inch full HD display packing 1920 x 1080 resolution, up to 32GB RAM, DVD burner (optional Blu-ray), Core i7 processor and a backlit keyboard to help you type in dimly lit areas. Exact processor names are not yet available.

Other features include 2x speakers, subwoofer, eSATA, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, 1.3 mega pixel webcam, 9 cell battery and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. It is a bit on the heavy side though, weighing in at 3.9 kilo grams. If you are extremely low on cash and want something equally big as this MSI notebook, check out the new Gateway NV-75S26U that has AMD A6 APU which might not be as powerful as MSI GT783R but packs enough guts to handle your video and office needs.
