MSI has made its X460 and X460DX notebooks available today. Both of these machines sport 14 inch display and measure less than 1 inch thin. The company even claims that X460DX are the lightest notebooks that feature an Core i7 quad core CPU. There is a very minor difference between the two though.
The X460 comes with an Intel Core i5 2410M processor and Nvidia GT540M GPU whereas the X460DX features the latest Core i7 2630QM processor (being used in G74SW notebook – Asus G73SW review – mobilityupdate.com link) that has 4 cores. However, latter does lack discrete graphics, something which is a must have for gamers. Another difference is that the DX version has metal alloy chassis and a chiclet keyboard, similar to the one found in Macbook Air.
That said, both of the notebooks are fully capable of outputting full HD 1920 x 1080 videos via their HDMI port. They both come with USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0 as well.
