Asus B121

Asus is now selling a a different version of its EP121 tablet in Switzerland. This tablet is more like a business version  as it runs on the windows platform. It runs Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system and is powered by the Intel Core i5 470UM processor that has two cores and runs at 1.33GHz clock speed. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB solid state drive. There are quite a lot of ports on this machine which has innards of a notebook. You get an SD card reader, 2x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, earphone and microphone jack.It gets its juice from a 2330mAh battery.

HP G6 with AMD A4

HP has unveiled its first AMD A4 powered notebook powered featuring a scratch resistant body and a 15.6 inch display. The entry level model comes with 320GB hard disk, DVD super drive and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system. As expected, this AMD CPU features a powerful built in GPU which in this case is the ATi Radeon HD 6480G (clock frequency 444MHz).

Atom Z690

Right now, Intel is offering Atom Z670, Z600, Z615, Z625 and Z650 processors, but here is a chip that the company has not even announced yet – Atom Z690. This processor was seen in action by Razer while showing offering their new Switchblade gaming concept. Earlier, the company was showing off this gaming concept with a 7 inch display and sports customizable touch-sensitive buttons.

Acer 4755G

Acer has rolled out 4755G notebook today sporting the second generation Core i series processors and a 14 inch HD display packing 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. It has a nice glossy cover that has a stripy pattern over its lid which is available in four colors: Onyx Black, Copper Brown, Cranberry Red and Olive Green.

Macbook Air 11, 13 2011 Geekbench

Geekbench is a very popular way of measuring the performance of memory and processor. It is a used by a lot of online publications and that is why we also use it in our labs. We had a chance to run the Geekbench benchmark on both of the new Macbook Air notebooks from Apple and were pretty impressed by their awesome performance. Both 32 bit and 64 bit tests were done.

Tesco Notebook

Intel G540, G440, B840, B800

Intel will soon be launching new processors namely G540, G440, B840 and B800. The G-series processors are meant for the desktop PCs. G540 runs at 2.5GHz clock speed and has two cores while the G440 hums at 1.6GHz and is single core. Both of these processors are destined to phase out Intel E3500 and B450, which is being used in many cheap notebooks. B840 and B800 will cater to notebooks. B840 has two cores while the B800 packs only one core.
