The Intel Core i5 2520M is one of the most powerful mid-range processors in the market. It runs at 2.5GHz clock speed and overclocks itself to 3.2GHz under Turbo mode. 2520M has 3MB L3 cache and has two cores that can handle 4 threads at a time.
The Core i5 is being used in many notebooks including the recently released Toshiba R840. The processor has a TDP of 35W and supports HyperThreading, AVX, Quick Sync, Virtualization, including VT-x, VT-d hardware virtualization. It also sports full 64 bit support. Performance wise, it offers incredible performance.
