Core i5 2557M Benchmark
Intel Core i5 2557M is one of the processors that fall in the ultrabook CPU range. This processor is very power efficient having a TDP of mere 17 watts. It runs at 1.7GHz clock speed but over clocks itself to up to 2.7GHz under Turbo boost mode in single core and 2.4GHz when both cores are being utilized. The Core i5 2557M is capable of executing four threads at a time.

This processor is currently being used in Macbook Air 2011 notebook which was geekbench-ed by us just few weeks back. Since this is a sandy bridge chip, it comes with an integrated Intel HD graphics 3000 GPU as well which does a fine job in handling full HD videos and low end games. Here is how it compares with other ultrabook and other popular Core i series processors(Core i7 2630QM, Core i7 2657M and Core i5 2520M).

We were actually very surprised to see it scoring more than the Core i7 2630QM.
