Pentium B970 benchmark

The Intel Pentium B970 is a dual core CPU that is made for cheap laptops. While it is based on Intel’s previous generation Sandy Bridge processors, features like hypertheading, turbo boost, AES, VT-x and VT-d have been deactivated. Unlike Core i-series Sandy Bridge processors (like i7 2620m), you do not get Intel HD 3000 GPU but are stuck wiht slower HD 2000 GPU. This is a full voltage processor and has a TDP of 35 watts. Here are its benchmark results:

Pentium B970 benchmark

1) Passmark – 2324
2) PCMark Vantage – 4122
3) Cinebench R10: Rendering Single CPUs 64Bit – 3389

Comparison  – Its immediate kin, Intel Celeron B960 got 2080 in the passmark benchmark test, while the Pentium B840 and B950 got 1978 and 1982 respectively.
