Samsung has added a new model in its Series 3 notebook lineup – the 300V5. This new notebook comes outfitted with a 15.6 inch display and packs 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and 400 nits brightness. It is the first Samsung notebook to sport the new AMD A8 3510 processor that features the new integrated ATi Radeon HD 6620 as-well-as HD 6470 discrete graphics.
This AMD chip has four cores that run at 1.8GHz clock speed under normal mode which can automatically over clock themselves to 2.5GHz under Turbo mode. It also as 4MB of L2 cache and its GPU, 6620, is clocked at 444MHz and has 400 shader units. As mentioned above, it also has HD 6470 discrete GPU that has 1GB of VRAM (DDR3) that will give the notebook an extra punch in the graphics department.
Other specs include 4GB DDR3 RAM, 640GB hard disk (5400 rpm), 1.3 mega pixel camera, noise cancelling microphone, HDMI, VGA, multi card reader, super DVD drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 radio. Battery runtimes are not available yet but we do know that the Samsung Series 3 300V5 will come with a 6 cell 48Wh battery which is not too beefy to yield decent battery life. It is on sale for 500 Euros.
