Toshiba has announced not one but 4 different Z30 notebooks, Z30-A-12N, Z30-A-12T, Z30-A-136, Z30-A-12U in Europe. The Portege series is designed to yield long battery life, matte display and light weight chassis. It is mere 18 mm flat. Common specs include 13.3 inch display, 1366×768 pixel resolution, VGA, HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader and gigabit Ethernet port.
For wireless communication, you get Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. Toshiba has installed low powered dual core processors of Haswell family, up to 16 gigabytes of RAM and mSATA SSDs with a capacity of up to 256 gigabytes. The capacity of the battery is sufficient for up to 12 hours run time.
The most affordable Ultrabook model is Z30-A-12N for 1,349 euros. At that price, buyers get an Intel Core i5-4200U, a 128-gigabyte SSD and 4 GB DDR3L RAM. The Portege Z30-A-12T is slightly better equipped with Intel Core i5-4200U, 256-gigabyte SSD and 8 GB DDR3L RAM, for which the manufacturer requires 1,449 euros from you. The Portege Z30-A-136 is same as Z30-A-12T, but features a more powerful Intel Core i7-4500U processor. It would retail with a price tag of 1,599 euros. The most expensive model is the Portege Z30-A-12U which will cost 1,699 euros. In this notebook model, you get a Intel Core i7-4500U CPU, a 256-gigabyte SSD and 16 GB DDR3L RAM.
